Although the firm dates back to the 1950’s, on 1988 the firm was reorganized by Mr. Gustavo Adolfo Zacapa under the name Gustavo Zacapa y Asociados. Our firm has provided the highest quality corporate legal advice and services to prestigious multinational companies for more than forty years. Currently, we constantly provide services to an array of the largest world companies who do business in Honduras. The firm provides all kinds of legal services and advisory, mainly in the practice areas of Corporate Law, Intellectual Property, Sanitary Registrations and Regulatory Affairs, Tax Law, Employment Law, Administrative Law, and Notarial Services.

    Gustavo Adolfo Zacapa

    Founding Partner | Notary Public

    Gustavo is the Founding Partner and Manager of the firm; he has vast experience in Corporate Affairs and is permanent General Counsel in Honduras to various multinational companies in multiple industries, to whom he provides legal advice in all areas of Corporate Law and guides though complex operations. He is a recognized expert in Commercial Law, Tax Law and Labor Law. With more than 40 years of experience in the field, Mr. Zacapa is highly renowned for his work and successful career.

    Gustavo is also known for his capacities in Intellectual Property and Regulatory Affairs; he constantly advises the Intellectual Property Team and aids in providing creative solutions to complex cases.     Carlos Eduardo Fernandez


    Carlos focuses in providing corporate legal advice and services to our clients pertaining to their day-to-day operations and assists in obtaining all kinds of permits and licenses in their name before different government offices.

    At the same time, he constantly provides regulatory services pertaining mainly to the registry of products for veterinary use, as well as the registration of crop protection products such as pesticides, fertilizers and others in connection to the aforesaid.

    Additionally, Carlos also manages diverse immigration procedures for individuals and for companies who hire foreign personnel in Honduras.

    Mr. Fernández also has significant experience in the area of Intellectual Property, specifically in the registration of distinctive signs and patents.

    Dreyvin works as a legal assistant at our firm, focused on collaborating with all departments.

    Mr. Izaguirre focuses on investigating and evaluating certain facts on special cases, he assists in preparing all kinds of applications and coordinates the filing of the same, mainly for our Intellectual Property Department. Generally, he performs multiple tasks, which serve as support for our lawyers in the delivery of legal services to our clients.

    Hadizabel attends Intellectual Property matters for our local and multinational clients.

    Ms. Izaguirre assists in procedures pertaining to the Registration and Protection of Trademarks, Patents, Copyrights and Related Rights before the General Directorate of Intellectual Property of Honduras, with the purpose of providing efficient legal protection for our clients’ Intellectual Property Rights.

    She constantly collaborates with the IP Department in the watch service of published marks, alerting clients of possible trademark infringement, and the initiation of opposition processes.

    Kristhel is a key contact in our Regularoty Affairs department.

    Along with Monica Rivera Triminio, he constantly realizes all kinds of legal procedures before the government offices and regulatory authorities of the Republic of Honduras, such authorization of registrations of foodstuffs, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, hygienic products, natural products, medical supplies and diverse licenses.

    Ms. Rivera, also handles the organization and update of data of all the above mentioned processes, and helps her department in creating and maintaining business relationships with other Regulatory Affairs professionals and associations.
